Think about which subjects you would like to study at Sixth Form and research how these subjects relate to your career or university goals. If you are not sure what you want to do after Sixth Form, do not panic. Focus on subjects you will enjoy and do well in.
Come to our Parkside Sixth Open Evening (31st October 2017). You will meet the teachers and members of staff who can tell you more about our courses. Come along with your friends and parents/carers.
Talk to your teachers about your predicted GCSE grades. Also talk to your parents/carers/family members to get their advice. At this stage you will begin the process of completing your online application via eProspectus.
You will be notified that we have received your application form and, if appropriate, you will be invited to an initial guidance meeting to discuss your course choices, and to have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about your course, or the college.
You will receive a letter to confirm whether we are able to offer you a place. If you are taking exams in the summer, your offer will be conditional on successful results in these. You will also be invited to our Applicant events to meet members of staff and other prospective students.
You will be invited to an Applicant Taster Day to meet fellow students and members of staff.
You will enrol on your course after GCSE Results Day. If your results are not quite as good as you were expecting, and you just missed out on the entry requirements for your course/s please contact us and we can discuss this with you.
Parkside Sixth Open Evening will be taking place on Thursday 20th June, 5:30pm – 8:00pm. Taster Days will also be taking place 25th – 27th June. These events are aimed at students who are interested in applying for a September 2020 start. For more information and to sign up, please click here.
