BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Development, Coaching and Fitness)
Sport allows you to take your career and personal development to the next level, with a practical course which delivers. Becoming a sports student at Parkside Sixth will not only gain you a qualification, but a lifestyle and way of thinking, organising, developing and mastering different aspects of coaching and fitness.
The course will be physically demanding and test your ability as a leader and team participant. You will advance the knowledge you have developed through BTEC or GCSE sport, and reinforce your understanding of physiology, technique, sociology, psychology and contemporary issues.
This BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport is recognised by universities and employers across the country. The practical sports development, leadership and coaching units will provide evidence of physical ability, which will enhance your theoretical knowledge of sport. The links with Cambridge Academic Partnership will not only gain interest from local sports providers, but also set you out in front of other students.
Students study a variety of Sport units – including a professional placement in the workplace. The BTEC extended diploma offers an engaging academic programme for those clear about the area of sports employment or higher education they wish to enter.
Parkside Sixth Open Evening will be taking place on Thursday 20th June, 5:30pm – 8:00pm. Taster Days will also be taking place 25th – 27th June. These events are aimed at students who are interested in applying for a September 2020 start. For more information and to sign up, please click here.
