IB Diploma Results 2019

Celebrating success at Parkside Sixth International Sixth Form IB Diploma Programme results released

Students at Parkside Sixth International Sixth Form in Cambridge celebrated last week as results for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) were published across the world. Fifty-three students took IB Diploma examinations this year, with a number of students achieving in excess of 40 points – a score achieved by only 10% of students internationally – and with three students achieving the prestigious Bilingual Diploma. With a high number of students headed to universities in the Autumn universities such as Durham University, the University of St Andrew’s, and University of Exeter, the staff and students celebrated another exciting results day.

Parkside Sixth International Sixth Form has been offering the International Baccalaureate’s IB Diploma Programme since 2011. The programme aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge, and Parkside Sixth helps those students to also flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.

Jess Pearce, Head of Sixth, said: “I am very proud of our students. They have worked hard and have achieved excellent results. It has been a real pleasure to work with them and I wish them all the very best for the next steps in their lives.”

Maureen Su, Acting Headteacher, said: “Parkside Sixth is firmly established as a great place to study for the sixth form. If students want a rigorous, broad, internationally-recognised, academic education in the very heart of Cambridge, this is the place to come.”

The IB Diploma Programme ensures that students are well-rounded and prepares them for higher education and the world of work. IB graduates are academically prepared for university coursework and research shows that they perform exceptionally well.
